President Akufo-Addo appoints Benjamin Barfo-Bonney as Deputy CHRAJ Commissioner

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Benjamin Barfo-Bonney as the Deputy Commissioner for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ).

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Jubilee House on Wednesday, December 11.

A letter signed by Kow Abaka Essuman, Acting Secretary to the President and Legal Counsel to the President, formally communicated the appointment.

The letter invited key stakeholders, including the Commissioner of CHRAJ, Mr. Joseph Akanjolenur Whittal, to the event.

The letter emphasized the importance of the occasion, stating, “The President has requested your presence at the swearing-in of Benjamin Barfo-Bonney, Esq. as Deputy Commissioner for Human Rights and Administrative Justice.”

The ceremony was also attended by the Vice President, Chief of Staff, Attorney-General, and the Director of State Protocol, reflecting the significance of the role in advancing human rights and administrative justice in Ghana.
