Rev Dr Emmanuel Aning, Head Pastor of Doxa Citadel Church, has sparked controversy by labelling the church’s annual harvest practices as “tricksterish”.
In a candid interview with host Nana Asabea on Plan B FM’s ‘Nyansapɔ Fie’, Rev Dr Aning expressed concerns about the church’s reliance on marketing consultants to plan and manage the harvest.
“The church now relies on human wisdom rather than God’s guidance,” he lamented. “This shift in focus has led to disappointment within the church.”
Rev Dr Aning emphasised the importance of trusting in God’s plan, rather than relying on human committees and monetary targets. He cited the biblical example of David, who prepared materials for the construction of the temple but was not allowed to build it himself.
As a trustee of God’s church, Rev Dr Aning stressed the need to listen to God’s voice and follow His guidance, rather than relying solely on human wisdom.
