Halt transition process -Annoh-Dompreh tells Akufo-Addo
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Member of Parliament for Nsawam/Adoagyiri, is calling on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to halt the ongoing transitional process until all outstanding parliamentary seats are officially declared.

His call comes amid allegations that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is attempting to manipulate the election results in order to secure a two-thirds majority in Parliament.

Speaking at a press conference, Annoh-Dompreh, who serves as the Majority Chief Whip, emphasized that his request is justified given the NDC’s history of violence and intimidation towards

Electoral Commission (EC) officials. NDC supporters have previously been accused of attacking EC personnel and coercing them into declaring results that favor the party.
