President Akufo-Addo appoints Dennis Kwakwa As Executive Secretary to the Coucil of Indigenous Business Associations

The President of Ghana , His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has appointed the former Ashanti Regional Director of Communications of the ruling New Patriotic Party,  Mr. Dennis Kwakwa,  as the Executive Secretary to the Council of Indigenous Business Associations (CIBA).

A letter dated Friday, November  29, 2024, and signed by the Acting Secretary to the President and Legal To The President,  Kow Abaka Essuman, reads “Pursuant to Section 5 (1) of the Council of Indigenous Business Associations Act, 1993, (PNDCL 312), read as follows,  “I am pleased to inform you that The President has appointed you to act as the Executive Secretary to the Council of Indigenous Business Associations (CIBA) pending the receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the Governing Board of CIBA, in consultation with the Public Services Commission.

Background of Nominee:

Mr. Kwakwa brings on board depth of experience and expertise having previously served as a Manager at the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation.

The former NPP Communications Director will be responsible amongst  others, for managing and promoting Indigenous businesses.

He will also be ensuring that one of the major sectors of the country’s economy thrives and operates in an enabling environment for the development of the country.
