The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has issued a warning about an ongoing recruitment scam involving fake appointment letters circulating on social media.

In a statement posted on Facebook on December 3, 2024, the GNFS denied any connection to the fraudulent scheme, stressing that the fake letters did not originate from the institution.

“Fake appointment letters and prospectuses circulating on social media are not from the Ghana National Fire Service but the work of fraudsters,” the statement said.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has also appealed to applicants to be cautious and vigilant, urging them to report any suspicious activities or unauthorized communications claiming to represent the Service.

“Applicants are advised to remain vigilant and report any such suspicious activities to the GNFS or the Police for immediate action,” the post added.
