A tragic accident on the Accra-bound Tema Motorway in the early hours of Tuesday, 19 November 2024, has claimed the life of a trotro driver.

A video shared by Adom FM on YouTube captures passengers aboard the Sprinter bus, with registration number GT 4867-13, assessing themselves for injuries and processing the incident.

Eyewitnesses reported that the Sprinter bus allegedly somersaulted as the driver tried to avoid potholes on the road. He lost control of the vehicle, crossed the median into the opposite lane, and crashed into a nearby bush.

The bus was reportedly travelling from Tema Adjei Kojo Underbridge to Lapaz when the fatal accident occurred, causing a significant traffic buildup on the motorway.
