According to adomonline post, a tragic incident in Accra has left the community in shock after a 46-year-old Indian businessman was shot dead outside his residence.

The victim, identified as Sagar Panara, was returning home on the evening of October 31, 2024, when the attackers struck. He had just come back from a local sports club when he was ambushed outside his compound in the Parklands area.

According to the police, the attackers likely followed Panara from the sports club and confronted him as he approached his home. During the attack, Panara was shot in the neck, right below his ear, in a swift but deadly encounter.

Neighbors who heard the gunshots rushed out to help, and local police quickly arrived at the scene. He was transported to Aga Khan Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

As detectives began examining the crime scene, they discovered a series of unsettling clues. Six leaflets with threatening messages were left near where Panara was shot.Police investigate death of man in Sunyani - Ghanaian Times

The notes included the message, “Vacate Narok land, one Panara down and Narok,” which has led investigators to suspect that the murder may be connected to a land dispute involving Panara’s family.

The Panara family has been involved in land matters in the Narok area, and authorities are considering whether this dispute could be a motive behind the killing.

The local police have launched a full investigation, exploring the possibility that Panara’s murder was premeditated. The threatening leaflets have raised concerns that Panara may have been targeted due to his family’s involvement in the land issues in Narok.

This link between the leaflets and the attack is currently one of the main leads in the investigation, as authorities aim to uncover any connections to the land dispute and identify those responsible for the attack.

The incident has shaken the community, raising fears about personal safety and highlighting issues surrounding land ownership disputes.

Panara’s family, friends, and colleagues have been left devastated by his sudden death. Known as a respected and hardworking individual, his tragic passing has left a significant void among those who knew him.
