Saloon car overturns on Motorway; passengers safely rescued

One Feared Dead, Driver In Critical Condition In Gomoa Dabenyin Accident

Two women narrowly escaped death in an accident on the Ashaiman stretch of the Tema Motorway.

The frightening incident occurred around 5 a.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2024.

A viral image shows an overturned saloon car that had landed on its roof after it skidded off the road.

The victims sustained severe injuries.

Eyewitnesses narrated that passersby quickly rushed the victims to the hospital for treatment.

Some individuals who witnessed the incident narrated that the driver was overspeeding causing the car to veer off the road, and somersault.

The military officer, attached to the 11 Mechanised Battalion in Bawku, lost his life when he was returning to his camp after providing escort services for a government official together with some of his colleagues.

The accident also left five people in critical condition.

According to eyewitness accounts, the military vehicle, with registration number 15 GA 04, was travelling from Bawku towards Bazua when it veered off the road and somersaulted multiple times.
