Building collapses in Accra; one dead, another in critical condition

One person has died on the spot with another critically injured after a portion three storey building under construction collapsed on them at Tuba in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.

One of them who had most of the debris fall on him died instantly while the other suffered severe head injury and has been rushed to hospital for treatment.

Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service and the Weija Divisional Police Command responded swiftly to the emergency and conveyed the body of the deceased to the morgue for preservation.

Information gathered by Adom News suggests that, one person believed to be the contractor has been arrested.

The Police has also marked the scene a ‘no go area’ pending further investigations.
