Report reaching Plan B News indicate that over 500 wooden structures have been burnt to ashes at Tuobodom a suburb of Tema Community 12 in the Tema Central Constituency of the Greater Accra Region.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 t exactly 2:20pm.

Speaking to the Assembly Member of Tuobodom Electoral Area, Hon. Emmanuel Sefah on Plan B FM’s ‘Nkosuo Nsem’ he said that, it was very pathetic to see properties destroyed to that extent.

Hon. Emmanuel commended the Ghana National Fire Service for the tremendous job done. “Fire Service personnels came with ten fire tenders before they were able to douse the fire outbreak” he stated.

On the other hand, the Deputy Officer of the Tema Regional Fire Service Headquarters, DOII Fiifi Oppong indicated that no casualty was recorded.

“We didn’t record not even a single casualty but properties were burnt drastically” he noted.

DOII Oppong advised the general public to take fire safety serious and also to pay attention in the kitchen when cooking. Also to desist from illegal connections.

Through that, the Independent parliamentary candidate for Tema Central Constituency, Hon. Frederick Aniagyei has extended a helping hand to the victims by providing them with food and other relief items.

Hon. Aniagyei called on the general public, individuals, stakeholders and philanthropists to also come to the aide of the victims either in kind or cash.
