Mrs. Marilyn Abeka-Daniels, a seasoned tutor at the University of Media, Arts and Communication, has said being a proactive journalist is what it takes to excel in journalism.
In a recent interview on Plan B 104.5 FM’s Nyansapo Fie show, she emphasized that good journalists don’t have room for procrastination; instead, they take initiative and get the job done. She encouraged aspiring journalists to adopt a proactive mindset, as it’s a crucial skill that sets them apart and makes them stand out in the industry.
”By being proactive, journalists can seize opportunities, build their reputation, and deliver high-quality work that makes a real impact,” she said.
Speaking on the same program, Prophet Ebenezer Dunamis, Head Pastor of the Army of God Revival Centre at Adjei Kojo, highlighted that individuals who procrastinate often struggle with indecisiveness and productivity. However, with guidance and support, they can overcome these challenges.
Prophet Dunamis encouraged individuals to take ownership of their actions and become people of their word, leading to greater success and fulfillment in life.
”By making a conscious effort to prioritize tasks and take timely action, individuals can break free from procrastination and unlock their full potential,” he added.
