Pregnant women are more prone to muscular skeletal disorders

A medical doctor ,Dr. Issac Gyamfi from PAIRS CARE CLINIC has stated  that pregnant women are prone to mascular skeletal disorders as compared to other people, because of high body weight they gain during pregnancy.

“As a matter of fact many pregnant women become overweight and obesity when the baby started develop in the womb, which also contribute more pressure on the muscles and the skeletal system of the woman that definitely cause her a waist pain and other mascular skeletal disorders.

According to him, the normal adult body mass index ‘BMI’ should be 18.5-24.9, 25.0-29.9 can be classified as overweight, 30.0 and above can be described as obesity.

Hence, obesity is a major contribution to mascular skeletal disorders since it accord supplementary pressure on the skeletal system which can affect the vital organs such as: brain, heart that play pivotal functions in the system.

Speaking in an interview with Aduana Ba K. Amponsah on ‘Apomuden Fie’ show at Plan B FM . He disclosed that, mascular skeletal disorders are genetic and infectious disease but proper management , effective exercise, eaten more food that contains fat can care .

Making a passionate appeal, Dr Issac Gyamfi urged people who are suffering from mascular skeletal disorders to approach ‘pairs care clinic’ for a better treatment before their situation worsens.
