Offinso, Ashanti Region, In a vibrant and historic ceremony, Nana Adwoa Afranewaa III, known privately as Janet Adwoa Pinamang Adu, has been enstooled as the new Queen Mother (Hemaa) of Offinso. This significant development marks a new chapter for the Offinso Traditional Area.

The colorful enstoolment ceremony, held on [date], was attended by a plethora of dignitaries, including:

– Offinso Manhene
– Members of the Offinso Traditional Council
– Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II
– Asante Hemaa

Before her enstoolment, Nana Adwoa Afranewaa was a successful businesswoman, renowned for her entrepreneurial acumen and community involvement. As a royal daughter of the Offinso Royal Family, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new role.

Following her official unveiling to Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Nana Adwoa Afranewaa III received royal blessings from the Asante Hemaa, solidifying her position as the revered Queen Mother of Offinso.

This development comes on the heels of the destoolment of Nana Ama Serwaa Nyarko, the previous Queen Mother, by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on January 11, 2024.

Nana Ama Serwaa Nyarko was removed from office due to gross insubordination, becoming the first traditional leader to be destooled by the occupant of the Golden Stool in 2024.

The stool had been vacant since the demise of Nana Wiafe Akenten III on October 2, 2021. Controversy emerged after Nana Ama Serwaa Nyarko failed to nominate a qualified royal to occupy the stool.

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II had earlier admonished Offinsohene Nana Dwamena Akenteng II to find a new queen mother to support his reign and rulership.

With Nana Adwoa Afranewaa III’s enstoolment, the Offinso Traditional Area looks forward to a new era of peace, progress, and prosperity.

The Offinso Royal Family and Traditional Council have welcomed Nana Adwoa Afranewaa III, expressing confidence in her ability to promote the welfare of the Offinso community.

“We are delighted to have Nana Adwoa Afranewaa III as our new Queen Mother. Her experience and wisdom will undoubtedly benefit our traditional area,” said Offinsohene Nana Dwamena Akenteng II.

The Asantehene’s decision to destool Nana Ama Serwaa Nyarko demonstrates his commitment to upholding traditional values and discipline.

As the new Queen Mother, Nana Adwoa Afranewaa III is expected to:

– Promote cultural heritage and preservation
– Support education and healthcare initiatives
– Foster economic development and empowerment
– Collaborate with the Offinsohene and Traditional Council

With her enstoolment, Nana Adwoa Afranewaa III becomes a vital figure in the Offinso Traditional Area, poised to make a lasting impact on the community.
