Asante Kotoko’s talented winger Bernard Somuah has taken a significant leap in his career, completing a move to RC Celta Fortuna, the reserve team of La Liga’s Celta Vigo.

The 18-year-old’s journey from a promising prospect to a sought-after talent has been nothing short of remarkable.

Somuah’s rise to prominence began with a standout performance during a trial with Kotoko, impressing the club’s scouts with his exceptional skills and potential.

His debut season at Kotoko was marked by consistent performances, earning him recognition at the national level and a place on Ghana’s U20 national team.

His journey to Kotoko was preceded by a prolific spell with Afigya Liberty in the lower-tier league, where he netted an impressive 22 goals.

His pre-season performances for Kotoko, including a goal against Bibiani Goldstars and a strong showing against rivals Hearts of Oak, further cemented his reputation as a rising star.

Somuah’s move to Celta Fortuna on a season-long loan deal with an option for a permanent transfer represents a significant step forward in his career.

The Spanish club’s decision to secure his services is a testament to his potential and the belief in his ability to make a positive impact at the professional level.

Celta Fortuna competes in the Primera Federacion – Group 1, the third tier of Spanish football.
