Leicester City have reached an agreement to sign Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew for a reported fee of £8 million.
The 32-year-old Ghanaian international is expected to undergo a medical with the Foxes to complete the transfer.
Ayew, who has been a key figure at Crystal Palace, joined the Eagles on loan in August 2018 before making the move permanent in July 2019. During his time at Selhurst Park, Ayew made 212 appearances, scoring 23 goals and providing 22 assists across all competitions.
Despite his contributions, Ayew’s role under new manager Oliver Glasner has diminished, with the forward starting on the bench in Palace’s recent 2-1 defeat to Brentford.
Leicester City, who secured promotion to the Premier League last season, are keen to add Ayew’s experience and versatility to their squad. The Foxes kicked off their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur and are hopeful that Ayew’s arrival will strengthen their attacking lineup.
Although Ayew attracted interest from Saudi Arabian clubs this summer, he is now poised to make a permanent switch to Leicester City.
