Ghanaians have responded to Afenyo Markin’s remarks regarding the multiple reports about the perceived arrogance of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as Napo, the running mate of Dr. Bawumia.

According to the Majority Leader in Parliament, the NDC had similarly labelled President Akufo-Addo as arrogant during his campaign, yet he still won the elections.

“We know you tagged Akufo-Addo as arrogant, but it didn’t work. Napo is ready to transform Ghana, even with arrogance,” he stated during the NPP manifesto launch on Sunday, August 18.

Some NPP sympathizers, however, believe that Markin’s statement may worsen the party’s chances of retaining power this year.

They argue that by admitting Napo’s arrogance, Markin justifies Napo’s recent controversial comments and actions, potentially deepening the challenges for the NPP and risking the party’s future in opposition.
