A tanker accident at Winneba Junction has sparked a frenzy among local residents, who rushed to collect spilled fuel in the aftermath.

The incident occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle due to a locked steering wheel and faulty brakes.

Eyewitnesses described the chaotic scene as residents, eager to capitalize on the mishap, flocked to the area with containers to scoop up the spilled red oil. In interviews, some residents revealed that they planned to sell the collected fuel and keep the proceeds for personal use, citing economic hardships as the motivation for their actions.
