According to an eyewitness who spoke to Adom News, the attack took place just as workers of the firm had finished their day’s work and were preparing to leave.

The eyewitness reported that, the robbers numbering over 10 were disguised in a white nose mask.

They reportedly fired several warning shots sporadically and demanded money from one of the gold dealers.

The robbers shot the gold dealer in both legs, before shooting a second victim.

The victims are currently receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

Police from Asante Akyem Central rushed to the crime scene upon receiving the call, by which time the robbers had already fled the scene.

No arrests have been made so far as investigations into the incident continue.
