Employees of China Geo Engineering company      took to the streets on Thursday July 4, 2024 to demand a pay rise and other benefits.

The group said that the current economic challenges in the country have significantly impacted their lives and financial stability hence the need to drum home their grievances to the management of the company to review their salaries.

Some of the protesters who spoke to Plan B News’ Kofi Sekyi  and NKB Boakye said they are unable to commute to work due to an increase in transport fares.

“The economic conditions within our country have significantly impacted our daily lives and financial stability. The general increase in prices for essential goods and services have strained our finances, making it difficult to meet our daily needs. We urge management to consider an increase in our current salaries by 100% to help us cope with the rising cost of living and maintain a reasonable standard of living”
