Obuasi: Angry youth vandalize Church, beat up Senior and Junior Pastors

Head Pastor of David Miracle Worship Center at Nyamebekyere, a suburb of Obuasi in the Ashanti Region, Pastor Maxwell Amoako, alias David Ba and his Junior Pastors were beaten pulp by some angry youth of the area on Friday, June 21, 2024.

Property of the church was equally vandalized by the irate youth over what is not immediately known according to the Obuasi Police who are currently on the heels of the assailants.

In the account of Pastor Maxwell Amoako, alias David Ba a group of irate youth numbering about seventy (70) all wielding cutlasses, sticks, hammers marched to the church premises, destroying plastic chairs and church windows without any provocation.

He lodged a complaint with the Obuasi Divisional Operation  Patrol team deployed to the scene but the assailants fled before the arrival of the police. Later that day, police investigators revealed that the complainant went to the church premises and the same irate youths attacked him and stabbed his right arm and beat him up together with his junior pastors.

The Obuasi Divisional Operation Patrol team stormed the scene but the youth had wind and fled before their arrival. The injured pastor was issued with medical forms to undergo treatment in view of the stabbed wound.
