Arrogance of power is killing Ghanaian leaders- Movement for Change

The Deputy Director of Electricity Company of Ghana, Ing. Kwadwo Obeng has rejected calls for a load shedding timetable.

On Thursday June 13, 2024, Electricity Company of Ghana together with GRIDCO announced a three-week power outage following a shortage of gas supply from Nigeria.

This announcement prompted some business owners to call on ECG to release a load-shedding timetable to help them to regulate their work for the three-week outage which the Deputy Director of Electricity Company of Ghana, Ing. Kwadwo Obeng addressing the  power challenges at a public forum said calls for a scheduled timetable is needless.

Reacting to this on Plan B Fm’s ‘Nkosuonsem’ show hosted by Obidehyie Kofi Sekyi, the National Communications team member of Movement for Change, Mr. John Kofi Adusei Poku stated clearly that arrogance of power has brought Ghana to its knees.

“President Nana Akuffo-Addo, Vice president Dr. Bawumia, Energy Minister Mathew Opoku Prempeh speaks in arrogancy to Ghanaians which has gingered the Deputy Director of ECG, Ing. Kwadwo Obeng to also come out publicly to speak in such arrogance to Ghanaians while seeking to address their challenges” he said.
