Janet Nabla’s dissolve GUTA suggestion a “nonsense” talk – Joseph Obeng

Janet Nabla’s dissolve GUTA suggestion a “nonsense” talk – Joseph Obeng
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The President of the Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA), Dr. Joseph Obeng has angrily described comments made by the founder and chairperson of the People’s National Party (PNP), Ms. Janet Nabla to dissolve GUTA as a nonsense talk.

“I think we shouldn’t entertain such needless and nonsense talk from someone like her. I believe she wouldn’t say such a thing if she understands the workings of the Traders Association. The Association is there to protect consumers and the public. Ensure the interest of Ghanaian industries and companies. Let’s not give credence to such unfortunate comments” he told Ohene Kinnah on Plan B FM’s ‘Ebaanosen’

Ms. Janet Nabla threatened that a future PNP government would dissolve the Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA), blaming them for contributing to high inflation.

She asserted that GUTA executives and members would be investigated under a PNP administration, and those found guilty of leading the astronomical increase of goods on the market would be jailed.

“GUTA is one of the reasons Ghana is the way it is when it comes to inflation. They buy goods for one dollar and sell them for ten dollars to Ghanaians.”
