Concerned Drivers to hit the street over delays in passing Anti-LGBTQ bill

Concerned Drivers association have threatened to embark on a street protest if the President fails to sign the Anti-LGBT bill.

Although Parliament passed the anti-LGBTQ+ bill in February 2024, the bill has faced setbacks, with the President citing his inability to sign it due to a legal challenge.

Speaking to Ohene Kinnah on Plan B FM’s ‘Ebaanosen’ , Deputy Secretary of the association Asonaba Owiredu expressed disappointment in President Akufo Addo for being lackadaisical with the passage of the bill under the guise of the matter being in court.

“We are on the side of the many Ghanaians who have expressed complete disgust in the practice of LGBTQ+ and that which has been demonstrated in the passage of a bill against the practice by their representatives in parliament. Undoubtedly, Ghana is a religious sensitive country and citizens strongly believe that when calamity shall befall us if LGBTQ+ practices are allowed to fester..We cannot wait for Ghanaians to suffer that fate and is therefore calling on President Akufo Addo to immediately sign the anti-LGBTQ+ into law” he remarked
