Chairman of the Parliamentary select committee on Roads and Transport, Hon. Samuel Ayeh-Paye has rejected claims that the government of Ghana has subtly advanced engagements with a foreign consortium with regards to ceding of the Kotoka International Airport.
In an interview with host Maxwell Ohene Addo, on Plan B FM’s morning show, Nkɔsoɔ Nsɛm, the articulate member of parliament for Ayensuano constituency insisted that, no conversation whatsoever on foreign partnership arrangement was in place and that the roads and transport committee of parliament, which he heads, was completely unaware of any such deal to handover the Kotoka International Airport to foreign partners.
“Nothing like that can happen without parliamentary approval, if I am telling you there is no such deal, believe me, because if there was such an arrangement, it would be brought before the roads and transport committee” he asserted.
