The Ministry of Health says it has taken swift actions in clearing the remaining 182 containers housing the anti-HIV, TB and malaria medicines and mosquito nets for nationwide distribution.

In a statement, the ministry indicated that out of the 435 containers it received between August 2023 and February 2024, 253 have been cleared from the port with 182 containers remaining.

The statement, issued by the public relations unit added that to secure the remaining 182 containers, the ministry has engaged with stakeholders resulting in the development of a comprehensive roadmap that will ensure the clearing of the said containers by April 12, 2024.

The ministry therefore assured of its commitment to engage consistently and meaningfully with stakeholders like the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and Customs Excise and Preventive Services (CEPS), among others to forestall future delays and prioritize the healthcare needs of Ghana.
