A man believed to be in his 40s has been butchered by a thief in his house at Tema Community 1 around 2:30 am Monday dawn when a suspected thief entered the his room to steal his phone.

According to an eyewitness who spoke on Plan B FM’s morning show NKOSUONSEM hosted by Obidehye Kofi Sekyi, she narrated that the thief entered the victim’s room to steal his phones which resulted in a struggle between the two in the room which led the thief to use a knife to inflict wounds in the face and the back of the victim, she said the thief took to his heels after their struggles which later attracted people around.

She then said the victim was sent to the hospital for treatment after they saw how he was bleeding.

She then pleaded with the authorities to clamp down on all the criminals in areas like sites 15,16 and 17 because she believes most criminals are from these areas.

“There is a place called Community 5000 a slump occupied by criminals and all the activities in the area are criminal so if the city authorities can demolish the place and evacuate the squatters or the authorities take over the land if the owner is not ready to develop the land because it is the breeding grounds for criminals” she added.
