The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GhanaMade stores, Madam Comfort Aniagyei has called for a renewal of mindset among Africans to foster speedy economic progress on the continent.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Plan B FM, she lamented the hesitancy Ghanaians have towards the patronage of locally manufactured goods and insisted that patronage of made in Ghana products is essential for Ghana’s economic development.

The CEO, known for her fervent patriotism asserted that, the colonial mindset embedded in some Ghanaians has generated a lack of trust in locally manufactured goods and would in effect slow the nation’s economic advancement and crush the confidence of local manufacturers if care is not taken.

Madam Aniagyei, affectionately called Eno Dapaa, also urged Africans in general to project positive images of themselves in whatever field and profession and defend their uniqueness against all suppressive opinions.

‘”We have to learn to appreciate what is ours and tell the stories of black heroes who have made impactful contributions in the world because we seem to have too much adoration for Western heroes”, she lamented.
