We Are Not Going To Pay Any Fines – Bechem United Manager To GFA

Bechem United Manager Amoako Gyampah has disclosed that, they have not received any letter from the FA asking them to pay fines as a result of misconducts on their part in the course of the annulled 2019/20 season.

The GFA Executive Council after a marathon meeting on Tuesday, June 30, decided to finally declare null and void the 2019/20 season. A season which had been suspended since March 16 following the placement of a ban on public gatherings as part of government’s efforts to fight the spread of coronavirus.

Speaking to Tema Community 2-based radio station Plan B 104.5 FM, the veteran football administrator made it clear “It would be unfair to the club to pay any fine to a league that has been canceled”.

He also stated that, “it would have been prudent to honour these charges if the league was still ongoing, but now that the league has been terminated, all fines and disciplinary matters should in the same manner, be rescinded.
