Following the discovery of a man in his 50s hanging from a mango tree on Sunday, February 25, police in Ejura/Sekyedumase, in the Ashanti Region, have opened an investigation.

Around midday, residents in the Ahenboboano Electoral Area made the startling discovery, which prompted emergency services to act quickly. Later on, it was discovered that the deceased was Boakye Sarfo, an employee of the Ejura Government Hospital.

“I can confirm that the body has been identified, and he is a worker at the Ejura Government Hospital,” assemblyman Kwa-Sam Samuel stated. In addition, we have found some exhibits, such as an off-duty cell phone on him. We are unable to determine if he was murdered or committed suicide; the police should do this investigation,” he remarked.

The man had been missing for roughly three days, so the original plan was to bury the body there. His wife attempted to phone him but was unable to, so she was informed of this depressing information. Since he is a native, we have already notified his family and the Ejura elders,” the assemblyman said.

The community is uneasy about the development. People are waiting for the police to unravel the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident since they have a lot of unanswered questions.

This occurs while the police have not yet resolved the case of the headmaster, who was discovered hanging in his room, possibly as a suicide.

After family members asked where 38-year-old Ernest Attah Kyei had disappeared, he was discovered dead on Monday, July 31, 2023, at approximately 4:30 p.m. It was said that he was getting ready to get married on August 20, 2023, in a few weeks.

He is said to have left some bottles in the room that may contain dangerous materials, as well as what appears to be a suicide note. A few close allies claimed he was traumatized after he was recently conned out of GH¢7,000.

“On Monday, we received word that our colleague had passed away. I hurried to the location to confirm his death and discovered him using a sponge to hang himself in his room. Upon searching his room, I discovered some medications he had taken before taking his own life. Further investigation revealed that he had left behind a note with his father’s phone number on it, an employee who wished to remain anonymous told Asaase News.
