An Economist Mr. Kofi Adu Osei has stated that Ghana is in an economic mess because it lacks the implementation power to implement all its good plans and policies in past and present governments.

Mr. Kofi Adu Osei in an interview on Plan B FM morning show NKOSUONSEM hosted by Obidehye Kofi Sekyi, the economist stressed that Ghana’s economy is relying on imports instead of proper implementation of government policies like1D1F and the likes to boost production.

He said the agricultural sector has experienced slower growth due to improper implementation of the policies that has led to high increases in commodities in the country in all aspects of life.

He said, Ghana’s economic challenges can indeed be attributed to several factors, including reckless spending, corruption, and poor leadership.

“One of the key challenges facing the country is high levels of public debt, which has been exacerbated by a history of reckless spending and poor fiscal management”
