Man inflicts cutlass wounds on wife for alleged cheating at Sefwi Wenchi

A 51-year-old farmer, Yaw Takyi has allegedly inflicted cutlass wounds on his wife, Martha Takyi.

He accused her of infidelity after 25 years of marriage with eight children.

This unfortunate incident occurred at Sehwi Wenchi in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region.

According to Yaw Ernest, a Unit Committee member in Sehwi Wenchi, he was alerted by the noise of residents in the area.

When arrived at the scene, he said he found Martha Takyi covered in blood.

She confirmed to Ernest that, her husband had attacked her with a machete.

Ernest promptly arranged for transportation and took the victim to Bibiani Government hospital for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, the suspect has been apprehended and handed over to the police for further investigation.
