The Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA), regulators of the shipping industry, has held a stakeholder seminar to engage Shippers on demurrage at the Port of Tema on Wednesday.
The engagement held under the theme “demurrage is avoidable brought together stakeholders from Shipping Lines, Freight Forwarders, importers, Shippers, logistics and Customs, etc.
Topics discussed include, effects of demurrage on cost of doing business at the ports, how to avoid demurrage; the Freight Forwarders’ perspective and how to avoid demurrage; the perspective of the shipping line.
