Henry Kokofu* – *EPA Director Wake Up*- *NPP Communicator

A communication  team member of the NPP in the Tema West Constituency, Michael Bohyeba Nyame has passionately called on the director of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Mr. Henry Kokofu to wake up and protect the environment and save lives and properties.

Contributing to Plan B FM morning show NKOSUONSEM hosted by Nana Yaw Abrompah, the communicator bemoaned the recent households along the River Oti in the Krachi East Municipality which have been submerged due to continuous heavy rains and the Spillage of the Bagre Dam in Burkina Faso.

Bohyeba Nyame was furious as to why these problems occur annually but nothing is done to curb it.

“Why do you always make people feel that the party is not working, please wake up and work to expectations, what are you doing to protect those who have been displaced by the flood, what NADMO is best known for is to send little blankets and food items to victims which can’t solve their problems, what is the Town and Country Planning in various districts doing to safeguard the situation, we use our taxpayer’s money to pay you but you are not delivering as expected” he fumed.

He also cautioned the general public to be vigilant when acquiring land if the land is not in the waterway or it is in a safe place before putting up their building.
