The President and convener of Save the Nation Ghana Dr. Appiah Korang has strongly condemned the violent attack on the premises of Accra-based television station UTV.

The studios of UTV witnessed an unpleasant disruption of its primetime weekly live broadcast entertainment analysis program, some group of men believed to be affiliated with the NPP stormed the studios of UTV during its live production abruptly halting the show a few minutes into the programme.

Speaking in an interview with Nana Yaw Abrompah on Plan B FM’s ‘Nkosuo Nsem’ , Dr. Appiah Korang said it is worrying to see the level of intolerance in the country.

He continued that such acts shouldn’t be entertained. He further advised the panelists on the show to be circumspect with their comments so it  doesn’t create tension and confusion in the country.

He also called on management of UTV to apologize to Ghanaians for the unfortunate incident.
