n a mass gathering at Obra Spot, Kwame Nkrumah Circle, a significant number of protesters have united under the banner of the #OccupyBoGdemo, a movement orchestrated by the Minority caucus of Parliament.

The attendees are primarily donned in somber black and vibrant red attire, many adorning their heads with striking red caps.

The collective voice of these demonstrators resonates with a call for the resignation of Dr. Ernest Addison, the governor of the Bank of Ghana, along with his two deputies. Their demand arises in the wake of distressing revelations regarding the financial standing of the Central Bank.

It has been disclosed that the Bank of Ghana incurred a staggering loss of GH¢60.81 billion during the 2022 fiscal year. Additionally, the protesters are expressing profound concerns regarding the utilization of over $250 million for the construction of a new headquarters, questioning the allocation of such substantial funds in the midst of significant financial losses.
