A group calling itself the Concerned Citizens of Ashaiman have protested over the deplorable nature of roads within the town.

The protest scheduled for today Tuesday, October 3, was sparked by several unsuccessful attempts to get the roads fixed by the relevant authorities.

Speaking on Plan B FM morning show NKOSUONSEM, hosted by Nana Yaw Abrompah, our reporter Ohene Kinnah interacted with some protesters, they lamented the dire impact of the situation on economic activities in the Municipality.

Some protesters indicated that they have been promised so many times and can no longer hold on to those promises.

Some also said the assembly members went into negotiations with the Regional Minister, and he promised them that he was going to facilitate the construction of a sixteen kilometers of roads in Ashaiman, but this has not happened.

The protesters are marching to the Ashaiman Municipal Assembly to present their petition to the Municipal Chief Executive for the needed action to be taken.
