Threat: Be careful with your words when angry, it could lead to imprisonment – public advised

World Environment Day should be declared operation clean your frontage – Chief Inspector Morgan
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Chief Inspector Morgan with the Tema Community 2 District Police Command has advised the general public on Plan B FM’s morning show NKOSUONSEM, on the topic “THREAT”, hosted by Nana Yaw Abromapah. He explained that a threat is an expression of intention to inflict evil, injury, or damage, or to tell someone that you will kill or hurt them or cause problems if they do not do what you want.

He said a threat is a communication of intent to inflict harm or loss on another person. A tactic used between conflicting parties to make the other timid or psychologically insecure for coercion or control.

He continued that a conditional threat is a threat to harm if the person being threatened does not comply with the person making the threat. Depending on the circumstances conditional threats can be illegal as well and can carry additional charges for blackmail or extortion.
