C/R: Dogs Discover Day-Old Baby Dumped In A Bush At Ofaakor
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

A day-old infant was abandoned in a bush at Kasoa Ofaakor in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region and discovered by roaming canines.

According to information gathered by Yaw Boagyan of Kasapa News, local residents observed the reactions of the dogs and followed them, only to discover that a newborn baby had been abandoned in the bush.

It is believed that the mother of the infant is not from the Community, as no woman who recently gave birth can be identified.

Residents believe the mother gave birth elsewhere and abandoned the infant in the neighbourhood.

The Kasoa Ofaakor Police responded to the scene, rescued the infant, and transported him to the Village of Hope hospital for treatment.

The police have initiated an investigation and are conducting a manhunt for the suspect mother who has fled.
