The Black Queens of Ghana have kicked off their campaign in the qualifiers for the 2024 Olympic Games to be held in Paris, France.

The Queens today played against Guinea in Conakry in a crucial first-leg encounter of the first round of the African qualifiers for the Olympic Games.

In the game today, goals from Vivian Adjei Konadu and Doris Boaduwaa in the first half handed Ghana a big advantage.

Although Guinea would attempt to make a comeback in the second half, the Black Queens would not allow it.

A 72nd-minute strike from highly-rated forward Evelyn Badu sealed a delightful 3-0 win for Ghana away from home.

The victory means Black Queens head coach Nora Hauptle has won all four international matches played since taking over as Ghana women’s national team head coach.

In the four matches, the Black Queens are yet to concede a goal but have been scoring for fun.

Ghana will now return from the trip to prepare for the reverse fixture on July 18.
