A Political analyst and a financial engineer, Alex Emmanuel Nti is calling on Ghanaians to  impeach the Nana Addo, Bawumia government if it continue with the reckless spendings and luxurious lifestyle.

The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Wednesday, May 17 granted approval for Ghana’s $3 billion bailout request, aimed at revitalizing the country’s struggling economy after several months of negotiations.

Mr. Nti in an interview on Plan B FM with Ohene Kinnah on ‘Ebaanosen’, explained that the IMF money is to strengthen the microeconomic indicators and our foreign reserves to at least serve the country for three months with borrowing from another country.

He stated that the government must be vigilant and use the money for its intended purposes to benefit every Ghanaian.

The Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG) Ernest Kwamina Yedu Addison has revealed that the first tranche of $600 million from the International Monetary Fund’s $3 Billion credit facility, will hit the bank’s account on Friday, May 19, 2023.

Speaking at the IMF and the Finance Ministry’s joint press conference on Thursday, he said “Just for your information, we have had swift advice, today to receive the money. Value date tomorrow $604 million.”
