A final year Senior High School Student of Twifu Hemang Technical Institute, Davis Nkrumah is battling for his life after he was butchered over Five Cedis debt.
The sad incident happened on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Jukwa in the Twifu Hemang Lower Denkyira District of the Central Region.
According to reports, the victim who has been in school for some weeks had failed to pay the ¢5 debt he owed the suspect, Salinko.
Hence, in the early hours of Sunday, the suspect after receiving information that Davis had come home for the weekend, went to the victim’s house to confront him and without asking the victim anything started inflicting cutlass wounds on him.
Screams from the victim attracted neighbors who rushed to his rescue and disarmed the suspect.
The victim was then rushed to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for Treatment while the Suspect was handed over to the Jukwa Police for an investigation.
According to the suspect, several attempts to get the victim to pay back his money have proved futile.
He said he doesn’t know what came over him to take along a machete with which he butchered the victim.
