He also advised Ghanaians to keep fire extinguishers in their homes to put out small fires and also prevent it from spreading further to avoid potential casualties.

He mentioned that there have been lots of domestic fire cases with casualties because of how gas cylinders are been positioned.

He mentioned that the leading contributing factors of fire outbreaks is whereby electronic gadgets like mobile phones,  fans, irons, and many others are plugged in the same socket.

“Some people put their phones on a charge from evening till the next morning. It is a very good habit that could cause an explosion and lead to a fire outbreak”. He stressed

The officer appealed to the general public to desist from such acts to protect lives and properties.

He urged everyone to have at least fire detectors and also fire extinguishers in their homes, cars, and offices as the first fire aid to help kill fire outbreaks at an early stage before they escalate to help the fire service work more effectively to save lives.
