Tema Region recorded 609 fire incidents in 2022

Public education on fire issues has been a priority for Plan B Fm and has been offered free airtime to Tema Regional Fire Service to be educating listeners on fire safety precautions.

Engaging some fire service officers from Tema Region on Plan B Fm morning show “NKOSUONSEM” officer ADOII Ebenezer Yenzu together with ADOII William klebeti and Nicholas Ohene Agye has recounted fire incidents recorded in the year 2021 and 2022 respectively.

The officers stressed that in 2022 609 fire incidents were ordered as compared to 586 fire incidents in 2021 gives account they explained that in 2022 alone 183 domestic fires were recorded,61 vehicular,16 Industrial,135 commercial,128 Electrical,4 Institutional,60 Bush, and 22 Others totaling 609 fire incidents that we recorded in the year 2022 respectively.

“We are making more efforts to reduce fire incidents in the region as we are ending the first quarter in 2023, that’s why we are serious about public education,” they stressed.
