Teenage Pregnancy Is Costing Lives Of Young Girls In Ghana; Parents Must Develop Interest In The Everyday Activities Of Their Wards

The rise in teenage pregnancy in the West Akim Municipality of the Eastern Region fuels a lot of developmental setbacks in the vicinity and causes nightmares to the MCE, Hon. Seth Oduro Boadu.

Tackling on health issues during the 8th Sessional Address of the Fourth Session of the West Akim Municipal Assembly on Thursday, Hon . Seth Oduro Boadu alluded to the worrying trend of teenagers who get impregnated thereby truncating their schooling and apprenticeship and later becoming an unexpected burden to the society.

The rise in the case therefore fore has compelled the MCE as matter of urgency to implement harsh but necessary measures to curtail the social menace.

According to him, children found out at night, and inattentive parents and guardians would be apprehended to face the bye-laws of the Assembly soonest.
