Blood is thicker than water: Akufo-Addo deceives anti-Ofori-Atta MPs
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter
According to some top guns of the party, all the deadline for sacking Ken Ofori-Atta has been met but he’s still at post with extra reward of a Trade Minister.
It will be recalled that over 80 MPs on Tuesday, October 25, held a press conference to demand that Ken Ofori-Atta and Charles Adu Boahen be sacked from their respective roles.
This led to a meeting with President Akufo-Addo where he requested that the Finance Minister be allowed to conclude the IMF talks and present the 2023 budget statement.
Charles Adu Boahen has since been sacked by President Akufo-Addo after a latest investigative piece by ace Investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas implicated him.
But the conditions Akufo-Addo gave for maintaining his nephew Finance Minister at Post have elapsed and the Finance Minister is still at post with additional appointment as acting Trade and Industry minister.
It appear to be a clear case of deception and the “revolting MPs” are now scared of victimazation.
The President our source tells us planned to sack Trade and Industry Minister Alan Kyerematen and Agric Minister Akoto Owusu Afriyie.
