The Head of the West Akim Municipal Security Council who doubles as the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Seth Oduro Boadu has warned persons planning to foment trouble at this year’s oboadwan festival at Asamankese.

Sources say opposition factions to the celebration of the festival were planning to disrupt the festival with hired thugs.

However, speaking to the media, the MCE elaborated that the Nana Addo -Bawumia led political administration continuously remains neutral in chieftaincy disputes and related matters but takes serious security of chieftaincy institutions for the protection of lives and properties and enhancement of peace and tranquillity across the nation.

Therefore MUSEC will provide the maximum security for the festival.

The MCE maintained that the security would not relent or compromise the safety of the people of West Akim for any individual or peculiar interest and therefore called on any disgruntled individual or group who has issues to resort to a competent court of jurisdiction for legal redress.

Chief of Asamankese Osabarimah Adu Darko lll will lead his sub-chiefs and subjects to celebrate the annual Oboadwan Festival this year beginning on 3rd -11th December in Asamankese of the West Akim Municipality.
