A release from the Ministry for the Interior signed by the Sector Minister, Ambrose Dery has declared Friday 2nd December 2022 a holiday.
The day is to observe the statutory public holiday set aside to celebrate farmers annually on the first Friday of December.
“The public is hereby reminded that Friday, 2nd December, 2022 which marks Farmers’ Day is a Statutory Public holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.” The letter reads.
This year’s Farmers Day celebration is expected to be held in the Eastern region.
