Management of the University of Education, Winneba has issued a communique outlining swift measures the university has taken in resolving all academic results by final year students.

The release comes on the back of Monday’s demonstration by final-year students of the University.

Some level 400 students of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) demonstrated against the management of the University amid a boycott of their end-of-semester exams over challenges with their grading system.

The students contend management has not shown any urgency in resolving their complaints.

They insisted it is a deliberate ploy by school authorities not to release their results on the student portal.

However, a statement issued by the Registrar, Wilhemina Tete-Mensah said management has decided that the earlier interruption of examination by the agitated students will be rescheduled.

“This is to inform all students of University of Education, Winneba that the conduct of the End of Semester Examinations for the 2021/2022 Academic Year will take place as scheduled. The ones that were interrupted by students will be rescheduled. All Deans and Heads of Department are to note and act accordingly and communicate the dates to their students when rescheduled,” the statement said.

The statement further noted that access has been granted to the level 400 student portal to check their results, while it encouraged students to visit the Student Centre for their concerns to be redressed.

“We wish to assure all students that Management has their welfare at heart and has resolved to continue to lend the necessary support to students to ensure that any concern brought to our attention is redressed appropriately,” the statement concluded.
