[PHOTOS] Bankuman FC Wins Plan B FM Inter-Community Soccer Gala; Takes Home GH10,000

The first edition of the Plan B FM Inter- Community Soccer Gala ended successfully at the Tema Sports stadium on Sunday August 14, 2022 with Bankuman FC from Tema New Town emerging as winners.

They beat Tema Community 11 FC 5-4 on penalties in the final to emerge as the winners of the competition.

32 teams took part in the two- week tournament.

For their prizes Bankuman FC received a giant trophy, medals, GH10,000 cash and a set of jerseys.

The 1st runner-up, Tema Community 11 FC received GH 5,000 , a silver trophy and medals.

The third placed team P.V Obeng also got GHC 3,000 and medals after defeating Royal FC 1-0  to secure the third position.

Attendance was massive for the entire duration of the competition, as large crowds besieged the venue each day to enjoy soccer artistry from their various teams.

Speaking during the closing ceremony of the competition, Chief Executive Officer Of Free Minds Communication Limited, owners of Plan B FM, Madam Comfort Aniagyei said the competition was aimed at bringing the communities together through the soccer  challenge

She expressed appreciation to all the teams and promised a much bigger tournament in the next edition.

She also said it was not only to unify the teams but to harness great but hidden talents and to encourage them to contribute effectively to the development of football in the country.

Richard Darko Of Community 11 FC was awarded the best player of the Competition.

Dignitaries that graced the occasion were, Mr. Gabriel, Chairman Of Greater Regional football Association and a representative of Soccer Talent Hunt organization Bjet Consult, Technical partners of Plan B FM Inter- Community Soccer Gala.
