A Ghanaian principal recently spoke about her salary after working for 28 years as a teacher.

She called on Luv FM Luv that after deductions her net salary is Gh950 which makes life very difficult,

The mother-of-three also shared that she had to rely on loans to meet her and her family’s basic needs.

According to the report, the headmistress has not been promoted since 2001, and with her small salary, she sometimes has no choice but to use part of it to cover school expenses such as making photocopies.

The frustrated woman admitted she would gladly accept the opportunity to leave the country in search of greener pasture when she gets the chance as she has been in Ghana on her own and nothing seems to be working for her .

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh Earlier reported that a young man from Ghana recently gave an interview to Citi Newsroom and revealed that although he has been unemployed for a year now, taking less than Ghc 2000 as salary is out of the question.

The bold young man, whose name has not been released, made the statement at the just-concluded Youth Employment Agency (YEA) job fair at the International Conference Center in ‘Accra from Thursday 9 September 2021 to Friday 10 September 2021.

According to the man, he will reject a monthly salary below Ghc2000 as he has an Information Technology (IT) background and with his skills and certifications he expects a better salary.

Another reason he mentioned is that he lives in Accra and the cost of living is very high. therefore, being paid below Ghc2000 would not help.
